The Mystery in the Garage
The man had attended a party and consumed too much alcohol. After midnight, when the festivities concluded, he started his car to head home. On the highway, he accelerated beyond the speed limit, prompting a police patrol car to pull him over for speeding.
Upon being stopped, the drunken man was asked to take a breath test for alcohol. An argument ensued between him and the officers. As the confrontation escalated, another car without its headlights caught the police’s attention. Seizing this opportunity, the man jumped into his car, sped home, parked it in the garage, and fell asleep.
About an hour later, the police traced his location and knocked on his door. He confidently opened it, armed with knowledge of the law, and cited several legal statutes demonstrating that he was safe now that he had returned home. The police officers acknowledged his point but requested to see his car. Triumphantly, the man opened the garage door, only to find the gleaming police patrol car snugly resting inside his garage!
