The Time For Giving

A man had accumulated much wealth, yet he did not give a penny to anyone. However, he told everyone that upon his death, all his property would be distributed. In spite of his declaration, nobody praised him.
One day, while he was passing through a field, it started to rain heavily. Seeking shelter, he found refuge under some trees. To his surprise, he noticed a cow and a pig also seeking shelter nearby. Suddenly, the man began to hear their conversation.
The pig said, “You give milk, but I don’t see you offering much more.” The cow replied, “I provide milk for many, and despite my efforts, they never speak kindly of me, while they speak highly of you! Why is that?”
The man now understood why nobody spoke kindly of him, despite his grand declarations. He realized that true kindness comes not from wealth, but from how we treat others and contribute to their lives.
