A Decision

“The heart of wisdom: A father and daughter navigate the intricacies of choice amid the beauty of their South Indian heritage.”
Sushmita found her father, Raghu Singh, to be unusually thoughtful.
“What makes you so pensive, Father?” she asked.
Raghu Singh smiled. “It concerns you, my child! There are two worthy proposals for your marriage. One is from Jampur, and the other is from Shrikota. In both cases, the candidates are bright young men. However, I am not fond of the Jampur boy’s relatives; they are corrupt and ill-mannered. As for the Shrikota boy, his relatives are honorable people, but his friends have rather questionable characters.”
